A Singer and a songwriter, who travelled for a while between Europe and Mexico. Since the year 2000, she is the founder of the “Chichimeca”, produced by Tajrà – indie label of Cagliari; releasing the albums: “Barbari” and “Luce- nur and Cuore?”. Collaborating with the acustic guitarist Caterinangela Fadda, the duo founded the “Violeta Azul”, a tribute to the authors of the New American song. In 2010, both musicians got awarded the Premio Maria Carta. She released the album “Un home del paìs” in 2012, in which she reinterprets the songs of the singer-songwriter Alghero Pino Piras, who disappeared in ‘89. Over the years, Claudia has collaborated as an interpreter and author with various artists of the national scene; such as Tazenda, Pippo Pollina, Mirco Menna, “Il Parto delle nuvole pesante”, “Dr. Boost” and the Mexican band “La Carlota”.
“Com un soldat” was the first solo album published in April of 2016 by the Catalan label Microscopi. It is a record of original songs in Alghero-Catalan language lyrics, with music by Fabio Sanna and the arrangements of Julian Saldarriaga and Dani Ferrer, musicians of the Catalan band Love of Lesbian.
Com un soldat was awarded by the TARGA TENCO in 2016 for the best record in dialect and minority language, in addition to the 2016 BOTTEGHE D’AUTORE award and a mention for the best text with Frida at the 2016 Premio Parodi awards. In 2017, it was selected by the Premios Min of independent music among the best international records published in Spain in 2016, and won the MARIO CERVO AWARD for the Sardinian record release of 2016.
Claudia Crabuzza was present at Womex 2017 in Katowice, together with the Italian World Beat platform.
